Another three people in Saskatchewan have died with COVID.

In a news release Sunday, the Ministry of Health reported that three people from the Regina area, two of whom were 80 or older and one who was in the 70-79 age range, had died.

There were also 226 new cases of the virus reported. Along with 105 recoveries, the active case load grew to 3,880.

The new cases are located in the Saskatoon (55), Regina (32), north-central (38), northwest (30), far northeast (15), northeast (five), central-east (30), south-central (five), far northwest (six), and southeast (six) zones.

Investigations have revealed the location data for four previously reported cases. Two were added to the north-central area and there is one each in the Regina and central regions.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 228, or 18,8 cases per 100,000 population.

There are currently 123 people in hospital in the province. Of those, 19 are in the ICU: Nine in Saskatoon, six in the north-central region, two in Regina and one each in the northwest and southwest zones.

Since the pandemic hit Saskatchewan, there have been 13,555 total cases, 9,557 recoveries and 118 deaths.

There were 3,029 tests processed in the province Saturday, bringing the testing total to 406,083.
